01 — About us
Cultural heritage in dialogue with the present.
Through cultural heritage and education, we foster dialogue about democracy, diversity and our place in Europe.
CEREHIS is the Centre for European History and Intercultural Dialogue. From 2015 to 2026, the organisation used the name Centre for Religious and Historical Studies.
Heritage for the public. Since 2015, we have made history, religious studies and cultural heritage accessible through lectures, publications and digitisation.
Learning that engages. We create interactive courses and methodologies for young people, adults, older adults and intergenerational groups. We develop critical thinking and media, digital and intercultural competences.
Democracy and cooperation. Our European projects connect cultural heritage with dialogue, active citizenship and inclusion. We work with universities, libraries, and cultural, educational and community organisations.

Expertise, experience and openness
The core of CEREHIS is formed by people who lead the organisation and contribute to its research, education and project activities.
Director and Project Manager at CEREHIS, responsible for the project, financial and personnel management of the non-profit organisation.
Coordinates Erasmus+ projects, contributes to educational activities and works as an education specialist, lecturer and facilitator.
Coordinates Erasmus+ projects, provides technical and administrative support, and manages the CEREHIS website and YouTube channel.
Provides graphic design and photo documentation and creates visual materials and resources for projects and events.

Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Her work covers philosophy, ethics and philosophical questions in education. On the Scientific Advisory Board, she contributes academic expertise to the quality and ethical reflection of CEREHIS research and educational outputs.
Political philosopher and democratic theory expert. He earned his PhD in Philosophy and Political Thought at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. His work focuses on the theory and practice of deliberative democracy, civic participation and European citizens’ assemblies. On the Scientific Advisory Board, he contributes an international perspective and experience connecting democratic innovation, civil society and education.
Biblical scholar and Associate Professor at the Department of Theology and Catechetics, Faculty of Education, Matej Bel University. He earned his PhD at the University of Cambridge (Peterhouse) and researches New Testament manuscripts, papyrology and textual criticism. He works with CEREHIS on public-engagement projects that make specialist topics accessible to wider audiences.
CEREHIS welcomes people and organisations who feel close to our themes and want to create meaningful educational, cultural and community activities with us. We enjoy hearing new ideas and finding a form of cooperation that works well for everyone involved.
Expert cooperation — if you have professional expertise, you can contribute to a project, lecture, workshop, research activity or methodological materials. We welcome both one-off and longer-term cooperation.
Volunteering with us does not require a major time commitment or previous experience. You can help with events, communication, content or organisational tasks — depending on your interests, availability and time. What matters most is the wish to get involved; we will be glad to find a suitable role together.
We can also offer professional or student internships to students and recent graduates. We will agree on the focus and scope according to your field of study, interests and CEREHIS’s current activities.
