A journey of discovery to Barca

On Thursday 15 October 2026, we invite adults aged 60+ to a journey of discovery to Barca. The outing is part of the MACU project, which explores how culture can help older adults participate in democratic life.
We will meet at 14:00 at the Socha Jána Pavla II. tram stop in Košice-Barca, Osloboditeľov 6. The programme is expected to finish at 16:00.
Košice historian Dana Kušnírová will lead a guided walk exploring the historic park, Zichy Manor House and the stories of places we may pass every day without knowing their history.
A short photography activity will offer participants an opportunity to capture interesting places, details and the autumn atmosphere of Barca. This will be followed by light refreshments and an informal gathering inside the manor house.
We will present our MACU and SHAPE projects as part of Erasmus Days 2026, highlighting how international cooperation creates opportunities for learning, exploring cultural heritage and gaining new experiences in later life. Each participant will receive a small gift at the end.
Please confirm your attendance by emailing info@cerehis.sk. We look forward to an afternoon of discovery and conversation.
